TN: 2001 Domaine Charvin Châteauneuf-du-Pape

I’m blowing through my dwindling supply of these way too quickly. Pure, complex, and elegant, a very polished CdP. The nose is holding back nothing, jumping from the glass with cherry and strawberry, moist autumn leaves, garrigue, soy sauce, lavender, iron-laced minerals. No hint of barnyard. It has the balance and poise of a classical ballet dancer. Charvin is quickly becoming my favorite Southern Rhone wine. (94 pts.)
