I’ve never heard much discussion of this wine, despite it being made by Peter Sisseck…

2001 Clos d’Agon Catalunya Tinto - Spain, Catalunya (3/28/2009)
Overwhelming sweet oak. Ripe but not overripe, fleshy underneath the vanilla. I believe I get some brett as well but so much oak it’s hard to say. A whiff of varietal character (Cabernet) comes through at times. Seemingly balanced acidity. Hard to taste much other than oak as well. Finishes with drying wood tannin. I’m sure there are those who might like this, I’m sure not one of them.
