Was fortunate enough to spend 3 hours with Joe a couple of weeks ago when we were out in California - a great guy and great wines. I usually don’t sign up for wine clubs but we did with Arcadian - his is structured in a buyer friendly way and we loved what we tasted - particularly a 2001 Sleepy Hollow he opened that was very similar to your note. Lots of great funk and structure and you would not peg as a California wine blind.

Picked up a couple on Winebid at a pretty decent price a few weeks back… I had consumed all of mine, so it will be nice to have them back in stock.

You lucky duck, Jim … I had been looking at those and completely forgot about them until after the auction closed. But a good thing not to be bidding against one another!

It was a nice price… I almost never bid against others… unless I HAVE to have something… I know most of the handles of my buds who bid there… is yours going to obvious to me in the future… so we don’t screw each other?? [training.gif]

Mine is completely obvious. So all good! I tend to only go for unopposed lots, too.
