2000 Zind-Humbrecht Pinot Gris Clos Jebsal Sélection de Grains Nobles - France, Alsace, Turckheim, Alsace AOC (4/8/2009)
Passover visit to Mom’s house. Medium to dark gold. Impeccable balance - sweet but not overly so with just the right amount of acidity to match. Amazing how nature knows how to do this without winemaker manipulation in the fermentation process. While this does not have the depth or purity of fruit of the '94 or '98 it is still a stunning wine. Matched nicely with my apple pie tuiles. 50+13+13+9+9 = 94. (94 pts.)
