The idea of a company Christmas party with 2000 Montrose in a decanter is so very foreign to me.
drinking beautifully today. No sediment at all on pop and pour after only standing an hour. Perfect cork. Dark fruit and pencil shavings on the nose with some earthiness, bright red fruits and menthol and leather on the palate. This makes me understand mature bordeaux so much better. it just works in harmony, although there is still some chewiness to the tannins, so it’s got plenty of life left. Simply delightful
