  • 2000 Littorai Pinot Noir Savoy Vineyard - USA, California, North Coast, Anderson Valley (10/30/2014)
    On the nose big barnyard funk with backdrop of red fruit. Ruby red color and very transparent with no brick edges, despite its age. On the palate some light red fruit but dominate by earth flavors. Plenty of structure left but I don’t know how long he fruit will hold. Great wine if not somewhat rustic. Would not have guessed CA PN if served blind. B +

Thanks for the note I will need to check in with some sooner than later it sounds like. Great producer, great vineyard, average vintage.

Have to add one more thing to the note. The wine was a little bretty and the taste still lingers some 24h later.
