2000 François Raveneau Chablis 1er Cru Monts Mains - France, Burgundy, Chablis, Chablis 1er Cru (7/6/2026)
Everything's right with the world! After dumping a 2004 of this down the drain for OX couple weeks ago, I was very worried that this would see the same fate, as both bottles were recently acquired from same source. This one is GORGEOUS, thank God! Fresh as a daisy lemon oil, sea breeze, limestone chalk...the fruit is vibrant with crisps and sours...pretty full bodied and oily, with a charming aged calmness to it...has the wax, the dry extract, the iodine...it's all there...makes me giddy! This is not an energizer bunny...acid is mellow...it's more of a contemplator wine...perfectly acceptable at age 26! Lot of nuanced complexities...buttered brioche, honeycomb, white truffle, spearmint...I could go on and on...it's tremendous! SO happy with this! (96 points)
