TN: 2000 Francois Jobard Meursault Genevrieres

Drunk in high style with a quinoa burger and quinoa salad at Burger Lounge here in Coronado, in the company of our three boys and what seemed (sounded) like about a dozen of their friends. This is just how you want to find your 13 year-old white Burgundy: The color still shows some glimmer of green. After some initial funk blew off, the aroma was floral and citrus. It’s long, lean and citrus on the palate, with some creamy hazelnut nuances starting to creep in. In a cold cellar, I expect that this will hold for a good while. (While lingering over the last of my burger and salad, and the wine, I gave the boys my credit card to get some frozen yogurt for them and their friends next door. Yup, there must have been a dozen of them. Probably won’t do that again.)
