    Amazing wine. I know too much lately. In a wonderful place now and really where I love my white burg. All the elements are in balance and went wonderfully with grilled Yukon River salmon. Nice round wine but not overbearing in any way. Love this.

Thanks Nick. The 00 ‘Perrieres’ was in scintillating form also a couple of weeks ago.

You must have a good memory, Kevin. When I first visited the estate, in 1988 and bought some glorious 1986, they wouldn’t sell a bottle of any 1er crus, so rare were they (said Frank Grux, who was running it then for his family; before Ted Lemon and way before Jean-Marc re-appeared). Came back to the US and looked for those 1ers…never could “find” them, to speak of, though the lieux-dits could be found.

Finally, on a later visit, J-M sold me two Perrieres.

But, I’ve stopped looking…and buying wine.

The “good ol’ daze” are better through the haze.
