TN: 2000 Domaine Marquis d'Angerville Pommard (France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Pommard)

In the glass very slight bricking, with clear garnet color. Expressive nose of cherry, slight raspberry, and a bit of rose. On the palate good acidity and freshness, with fullness and a savory mix of pommard chunk and volnay silk.

I like this.

And a question about this:

D’Angerville had Pommard Village (this wine) in Les Combes. Lately they do not have this, but rather a 1er Cru Combes Dessus.

How is this different/same?

Chicken looks a little underdone.

Yup. At that point the spuds were tough, too. [wow.gif]

In the past, I believe, the grapes came from the Premier Cru vineyard Les Combes Dessus, but the wine was declassified to the Pommard villages A.C. Is it now being bottles as a 1er?

It is currently listed as

Pommard (40 ares)
Pommard 1er cru - Combes-Dessus

It comes “alive” with the wine.

At least I have chicken.

Henry, you appear to be applying the Audouze method of slow-oxidation for that bird…

Well, well, well, and cluck, cluck, cluck…

Can anyone offer an answer/some insight?:
