    First off disclaimer. I love Marcoux CdP. Medium ruby. At first a cooler stoniness and pure deep grenache fruit on the nose. A touch of brett that blows off quickly (yes I think the brett blew off). There is a nice lavender and provencal herbal side to this with some beef broth and rare meat that compliment the fruit. This has a suppleness and almost softness to it, and I love the texture with just enough roughness to keep it honest. Beautiful fruit, stony, and savory all in one. It opens in the glass, into a glass of pleasure. For me Marcoux always seems to have an elegance and purity that marry with its structure beautifully. Drinking at absolute peak. Delish. 93 pts (93 pts.)

    Wow, what a great wine! Dark, translucent ruby, with nary a hint of bricking. Beautiful nose of dark fruits, spice, earth. Dark plums, tar, cardamom, raspberry. Full and lively on the palate, with terrific acidic lift, deep body, and a long, complex finish. Probably drinking at it's peak now, outstanding. (96 points)

I love 2000 Marcoux, although 98, 99 and 01 are not bad either.
