TN: 2000 Beaux Frères Pinot Noir Beaux Frères Vineyard

  • 2000 Beaux Frères Pinot Noir Beaux Frères Vineyard - USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley, Ribbon Ridge (11/12/2009)
I got to drink this over two days and really see how it would evolve with lot’s of air.
Initially consumed after a 1 hour decant - very high toned nose with smoke, cherries, plums, and wet earth.
Very lively acidity but in check with beautiful Oregon fruit plums, cranberries, dried cherries, baking spice into
a nice medium+ and tart finish. On night two: this took on a almost Northern Rhone quality-very meaty and mineral driven
with beautiful violets hanging in the foreground. The acidity had toned down a bit and this wine became very silky, soft,
and long. Got’s to get more this should be very interesting in a few more years. (93 pts.)
