TN: 1999 Turley Tofanelli Vineyard Zin

Just pulled the cork aand figured the only way to get a TN on WB is to type as I taste…

still a bit cool coming straight from the cellar (52F this time of year). A clear rim but the rest of the wine is a pretty dark rich red.And the clear rim may just be the miniscus it is that small in size.

Black fruits, roasted coffee (good thing, I don’t like coffee but this smell is nice), slight hint of oak, some nice asian spices… on the nose

On the palate:
full body, meaty flavors with spices and white pepper on the finish. Solid all the way through, gret attack, lush middle and long finish (over 60 seconds). Maybe a bit tart on the finish but that’s going away as the wine opens…

Stay tuned…
