1999 Fox Creek Shiraz Reserve - Australia, South Australia, Fleurieu, McLaren Vale (10/22/2014)
Nose is nice with red meats, pepper, blueberries and earth. On the palate still vibrant fruit along with secondary characteristics. Certainly has a few years left but not in the league of the 98. (92 pts.)

This was the first post-Sparky Marquis vintage, right?
Have you had the 98 recently? I might have a bottle of the GSM in a corner of the cellar somewhere. I think I finished the reserves.
Man, I really enjoyed those wines back in the day.
Finishing the bottle tonight and even better.
Day 2 this is even better. Tar, spices, cedar and graphite. While still not a big wine, a complex effort known the less. Outstanding!!! Upgrade to a 94.
