1998 Domaine l’Aiguelière Coteaux du Languedoc Montpeyroux Côte Dorée - France, Languedoc Roussillon, Languedoc, Coteaux du Languedoc Montpeyroux

This wine is certainly on top of its game at age 11. Medium to fuller bodied. Dark fruit framed nicely by the integrated oak and mellowing tannins. Fragrant. No sharp annoying edges poking out. My sense is that there is no need to drink these up anytime soon, but why not when they are as good as this. Wish I had bought a case of this way back when.

Nice, another positive note from the Languedoc! My selection up here is rather limited, I am afraid to say. Do have that Assas from the Pic on the horizon!
