  • 1998 Château Laville Haut-Brion Blanc - France, Bordeaux, Graves, Pessac-Léognan (3/27/2012)
From a blend Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon and a touch of Muscadelle. . It’s rare that I get to taste a $100 white bordeaux so I was excited to taste the infamous top blanc from Graves. The nose is pure dry dates, cat pee and walnuts, The palate is extremely balanced. I find no over the top flavors. Plenty nutty flavor is front center followed by citus and lemon peel notes. All the flavors a held up a firm dose of acidity. The finish is quite dry. Not recommended for my new world friends
