1998 Arrowood Chardonnay Cuvée Michel Berthoud - USA, California, Sonoma County (1/18/2010)
American Puligny! Maybe a little more rich in fruit…baked apple, apricot, lemon fruit…butterscotch, exotic Hawaiian white honey, creme brulee crust, smoky flint, toasted hazelnuts covered marshmallows. Still quite youthful, added aged complexity(slight sherry), classic White Burg minerals/lemons/stones. Tastes more French than Domestic…killer wine, that could fool many! (93 pts.)
