TN: 1997 Fontodi Flaccianello

Had this a few weeks ago. Life has been real hectic. Finally a chance to post a note from memory

Fantastic bottle of wine. Leather on the nose dark cherry fruit earthy great balance and mouthfeel with a long savory finish. Really in a good place. Glad I recently ordered a few more Score for me 94 pts.

We had a 97 Tuscany tasting last year. This wine was the clear WOTN.

My guess is there was some other great bottles there.

This is exceptional. I think 2001 is also pretty good.
