not much change since Paul reviewed it in 2010. Needs even more time.
From Paul Sean: “A very decent Champagne - still extremely young though. Nose showed plenty of sweet fruit - apples, pears and lemons and then some tropical accents - along with hints of yeasty bread and just the beginnings of secondary notes, with some meaty hints floating around. The palates was far less developed though. There was certainly more sweet fruitiness in the form of apple and ripe lemon flavours, but it was still rather dominated by aggressive 1996 acidity, even when paired with Beluga caviar, which helped to tame the wine down somewhat. Finish was decent too, with a nice minerality in the background and a good sense of dry extract. I would easily give this another 6-7 years before trying another bottle. (91 pts.)”
