  Double decanted two hours before service. This wine is phenomenal! Dark red in color with some browning. The tannins are there but under control. Lots of red fruit. Well stored wines have years of life left based on this bottle. (95 points)

That’s awesome!! Older Silver Oak bottles can be so good! I had a 1980 Alexander Valley a couple years ago and it beat our a 1980 Mouton.

Glad you enjoyed the wine. Loved the Silver Oak wines from the 80’s to early 90’s. About 94, IMHO, their style changed, they lost some vineyards as I recall and I lost interest in them.

Yep we had a great Jero of '94 a few years ago. Solid juice.
