TN: 1995 Louis Jadot Chapelle-Chambertin

Popped this one Fri night.
Good not great and like my last few 95s, not really ready for business.

Beginning to show some secondary notes on the nose. Maybe a bit of sweet oak. Mostly cool red fruit on the palate. Somewhat closed and cool. Decanting is helping. With air you get some sappy red fruit beneath the structure. Long finish that is lean and shows some brashy tannins still. '95s still seem closed up and slightly angular to me, for the most part. Let my others slumber longer.

thank you, I own one of those. I have faith that the 1995s will open up again. Eventually. Preferably in my lifetime.

mine too, hopefully.
I’m going to stop trying for a while on '95s and let them be.

95 Arnoux suchots was quite open and forward a few weeks ago. Soft and silky in texture.
