    Very little sign of age in the color and a wonderful, massive nose of tobacco, cinnamon and maybe a little pine underbrush. Fresh and vibrant on the palate with wonderful berry flavors and a nice lingering finish. An absolutely fantastic Châteauneuf-du-Pape. I had the 98 vintage of this wine a little over a year ago and at the time, that was probably my all time favorite CdP. This bottle of 95 nearly matched that experience. (96 pts.)

had the 1998 Pegau Reservee on NYD during The Rose Bowl. funk on the nose and good, bright fruit but this was the 2nd time i was underwhelmed by the totality of this bottle.
