The older Ludes wines from Fass have been a good ride in recent years.
1993 Weingut Hermann Ludes Thörnicher Ritsch Riesling Auslese - Germany, Mosel Saar Ruwer (7/24/2022)
Seemingly wrapped up and dry-ish on opening. Not too fleshy. More like a Kabinett today, perhaps. Remarkably fresh and vibrant. Apricot/peach/honey come on in time. More richness an hour-in, the wine kept becoming as it sat in the glass. Nicely balanced, sweetness buffered by acidity that lends freshness. Good package at 29 years.
