1992 Jarvis Winery Cabernet Sauvignon Estate Grown Cave Fermented - USA, California, Napa Valley (12/28/2009)
Bought on release, at the Winery…my last bottle. Still very dark berry in color, dusty cedar, mocha, sour cherry nose. Still pretty rich dark berry fruit, with a sour and tart kick of acidity. Smooth mocha vanilla oak barrel, cedar dust, dark chocolate covered orange wedges, dried green tobacco leaves. Still really rich, yet very sour, which gives it a dryness that might be off putting to some. If that sourness wasn’t there…this could be an amazing wine. Tasty, but not as it use to be. (91 pts.)
