My first TN on the “new” board
Still a dark translucent red in the glass, with an intoxicating nose of black cherries and underbrush/sous bois. Nice legs. Very smooth on the palate; still a little tannic bite on the finish, but that almost serves to add a finishing exclamation point as opposed to detracting from the overall wine. While I think this wine is in no danger of decline, if you have it I also suggest checking out a bottle, as I also think that it has probably reached it’s apogee in terms of development. A good wine in what has ultimately proven to be a somewhat inconsistent vintage in Montalcino.
