  • 1990 Dr. Fischer Ockfener Bockstein Riesling Auslese - Germany, Mosel Saar Ruwer (5/2/2021)
    Decanted and showed a dark (but not overly) golden hue with rosy overtones. Fruit very vibrant and deep, not particularly sweet but a bit. Quite delicious and impressive. Purchased from Bill Mayer, working at the old Pacific Wine Company store in San Francisco in May 1993.

I’ve still a bottle of the 1990 Spatlese and one of the 1989 Auslese that I got at the Domaine. The Bockstein rises from their back yard.
