1990 Bouchard Père et Fils Pommard 1er Cru - France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Pommard 1er Cru (7/27/2013)
Visual: Dark maroon color that is semi-transparent, no signs of clouding, and bricking at the rim.
Nose: Stewed meats, lots of secondary and tertiary aromas, pepper, and cinnamon
Palate: Cherry fruit, stewed meats, a hint of baking spices and drying leather-like tannins that were perhaps too dry
While the last bottle of this wowed me, this one disappointed. it was drank amongst great friends during a spectacular fireworks display at a private setting, but after dinner. It was good, but. Not at the Wow level. B/B+ on this wonderful night.
