TN: 1988 Dunn Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley

    Popped and poured into a decanter and then consumed over the next couple of hours. Color is showing some slight maturity with a bit of bricking on the edges. Nose shows some cedar, old leather and slightly spicy fruit. Surprising amount of acidity at first and not much in the way of tannins. Fruit comes out after about 30 minutes in the decanter and takes the edge off the acidity, rounding the wine out nicely. Good finish but lacking any real weight on the palate. (88 pts.)
