TN: 1984 Quinta Do Infantado Porto Late Bottled Vintage (Portugal, Douro, Porto)

Popped, decanted. and then served. Light brick red in color with a bit of cloudiness that didn’t affect the taste. There were flavors of strawberries and plums, with a little alcohol heat that blew off within 15 minutes. Very little tannin left, with moderate sweetness that wasn’t at all cloying. The wine is very drinkable. A much better wine than had been anticipated from a tertiary producer from a mediocre vintage. Further proof of the age-ability of LBV ports. (88 pts.)

I bought one of these too (Winebid). Super solid port, just what I was hoping for in an older LBV that’s more than ready to go. I’m a sucker for odd things like this.
