TN: 1983 Meo-Camuzet Nuits St. George 'Aux Boudots'

With last night’s duck dinner we enjoyed a 1983 Meo-Camuzet Nuits St. George ‘Aux Boudots’ - fill less than a cm below the capsule; saturated cork; initially orange - brown in color, immediately upon pouring transforming into a deep garnet with a light edge; rich, spicy secondary & tertiary red and dark fruit in nose and flavors; slightly drying mid-palate of balanced old fruit with adequate acidity and little tannins; and a long dark fruit finish. It was a great match with the rich duck and sauce.

This sounds lovely, Dick. Thanks for the notes.

Thanks for the note! Sounds terrific; we had an '01 Leroy Boudots. Always love this plot and with that kind of age, I bit it was absolutely terrific.

We’re starting to drink more of our '83s with appropriate foods, since they’re just beginning to drink nicely.
