1979 Vieux Château Certan - France, Bordeaux, Libournais, Pomerol (7/4/2014)
Really bright red berry fruit on the nose coupled with some sweet cedar, liniment and a little musky funk. There is a very pleasant floral note to this wine, smelling perfumed and heady like fresh lilies and with a plant material greenness to it. In the mouth it is fresh with tinges of meat and earth. Flavours are backlit by bright minerally acidity and it finishes with nice grip and flavours linger in the mouth long after the wine is swallowed.
