TN: 1979 Du Tertre, Margaux. Sweet fruit on the nose. Lighter- bodied but very juicy despite some dryness clipping the end. More of a cigar-box, cherry fruit mix on the palate. Lively acidity. Elegant? Past its best? Both. Lovely and still quite generous with an hour or so’s air? You bet. $45. A solid 87 points.
Hi Drew,
nice note, a lot of smaller 79s are drinking surprisingly well. Had the same experience with 2 bottles of Beychevelle, and bottles of Potensac, Angludet & Gloria.
Cheers
