1974 Dupard Ainé Montrachet - France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Montrachet Grand Cru (5/14/2014)
The cork had Fleurot on it and I’m assuming the wine came from a plot right next to DRC’s. It was golden but still drinking well, smelling a little nutty at first. It breathed up to show notes of apricot and marmalade and some custard apple. It was sweet and vinous in the mouth with some mushroom and earth savoury traits coming to the fore at the end. Quite lovely wine.
