    Historic wine. It won the ‘Judgement of Paris’ tasting in 1976, propelling California wines onto the world stage. The wine is still alive. Very dark with amber rim. Intense red current nose with a hint of tar. Full and rich in the mouth with fruit still present on a moderately long finish. It seemed to blossom after an hour in the glass. What fun experiencing history in the glass!! (91 pts.)

A nice experience! I still have a few Stag’s Leap wines from the '80s in the cellar, but the '70s are all gone! [cheers.gif]

If I’m not mistaken, wasn’t it their regular Cabernet which won the judgement in Paris and not the SLV?
