TN: 08 J. Christopher Cristo Irresisto Rosé

13% abv. I have no idea what grapes are in this; perhaps Michael Alberty can fill in that detail if he sees this.

Impossibly pale in color. You couldn’t even call this onion skin. Imagine a pair of granny panties-- it’s that color-- the faintest beige with the slightest blush. Unlike many rosés, this needed a little air to shine. The nose is peach sorbet with sliced strawberries. The palate is dry, clean, more mineral-driven than fruit-driven, and zippy. A ludicrously good QPR for $12.

So…do you consider this rose?

I do indeed!

Shouldn’t it have a signature color of rose?

I will petition to have “granny panties” added to the rosé color lexicon just beside “onion skin”.

It does say “pink wine” on the label, but I wouldn’t call this rosé pink.
