drinks well above its AC level, the persistence of this wine is incredible–great length. It has ample acidity and the balance to age longer, but the fruit is so nice now, in fact the whole package is great, why wait? Gorgeous wine. Hope I have more.
Sounds great Alan. I had the 07 Perrieres in Burgundy a few weeks ago, it was stunning.
a glass of water in Burgundy would be stunning! I almost opened the Perrieres tonight!
Pierre Morey strikes again - one of the under rated top notch white Burgundy producers.
how are his reds? Couldn’t resist buying some Corton he made.
The water does taste more minerally there, probably the terroir.
Sounds delicious, Alan. The 2010 Bourgogne tastes like good Meursault. I just received an offer of multiple back vintages of Pierre Morey direct from the domaine, including this 07 you had, 07 Perrieres and many others. However, the prices took my breath away.
I wish I knew the price I paid, Martin, but I think it was cheap! So only the wine took my breath away.
Reds I always found ‘okay’ Alan - no real frisson of excitement like his whites - actually his Bourgogne Rouge was usually his best red wine
