TN - '06 Perrin & Fils CdR Villages Vinsobres Les Cornuds

  • 2006 Perrin & Fils Côtes du Rhône Villages Vinsobres Les Cornuds - France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Côtes du Rhône Villages Vinsobres (2/20/2009)
With the combination of brett, stony terroir, dark fruits, black olives, leather and nice mouthfeel, this is, oddly enough, a ringer for a slightly aged Bordeaux or older CA cab. No clue how, with its classic combination of Syrah and Grenache, but I really enjoy it nonetheless. It doesn’t have the complexity of the aforementioned wines, but it is really brilliant, particularly for the price. I will definitely head out to get more.

BTW, everybody is excited over '07 Saint Cosme - to me, this BLOWS IT AWAY without even a hint of a contest, and it is cheaper (at least at Costco)

I agree on the quality of the wine and actually had a bottle last night with pizza. As for beating out the Cosme CdR…different strokes for different folks.

No, you are just full of fail, that’s all.

I’ve had 3 bottles of Saint Cosme and 1 bottle of the Les Cornuds, so OBVIOUSLY I am the expert.

I have had three of each and plan to buy a case more of each today on my Costco run.

And you will still fail
