TN: 05 Prager Wachstum Bodenstein Riesling

gorgeous ripe apricot and peach, a bit fat but lifted by some acidity, great balance and length, it is in the zone but not one for the ages. Drink up. 05 Austrians have for me not lived up to initial promise, a bit deficient in acidity for my taste.

Love this wine altho i have not had the 05. Thanks for the note.

Love this wine

I’m very worried about premox with Prager.

Some of the corks slide out as though they have a good 1/64th of an inch of silicone goo on them.

'05 Germans and Austrians both seem to be drinking surprisingly well/early currently.

2005 Austrians were never going to be the old bones wines. That said they won’t just collapse.

As for the Germans, I opened a 2005 Donnhoff Brucke Spätlese last night that was open and complex. Really a fine Auslese. Note to follow.
