They may have been a Wine Spec darling but . . .

I opened a 1998 Paloma Merlot last night and it was bangin’ good, fragrant, cedary, earthy . . . pretty much at peak and everything you could ever want out of a merlot from anywhere.

They don’t make wine this good anymore since the main dude died, right?

I haven’t had a recent one, but from what I have heard, the wines are still good. BTW, wasn’t the 98 made by Robert Foley?
