The Wine Buyer.com Anyone familiar with them?

I highly doubt someone with 4000 plus posts is promoting businesses. If I had less than 100 and was crazy about a business then you can have concerns.

2018 Shaw and Smith Shiraz - Australia, South Australia, Mount Lofty Ranges, Adelaide Hills (12/19/2021)
Day 1: Under $30 and worth every penny. Very aromatic wine and flavorful but all in balance. Blackberries, black olives, blueberries, floral, black pepper and exotic spices. Medium plus finish and good acidity. This is a six pack coming soon! Actual agree with James Suckling who gave it 95 so not far off. 93 points
Day 2: Beautiful wine with black olives, tar, blueberries, twigs, floral notes, black pepper and exotic spices. Medium plus finish and good concentration. Outstanding value. 93 points
Day 3: More balanced across the board on day 3. Black olives, tar, blueberries, black pepper, exotic spices and floral notes. Medium to long finish and amazed how well this is drinking young. 93+ points
Recommendation: Buy! For less than $30 an amazing QPR. (93 points)

Less than $30 with free shipping. Just got 4 more!

I’m pretty aure that you post close to 4,000 times on a daily basis John

I don’t have experience with winebuyer.com, but do have experience with another amazing retailer that has many great finds under $35. They have great prices across their portfolio but seem to have good resources across Burgundy and Champagne. Great customer service as well. Give them a look if you have a minute:

Yes that would be a bit bunch much. Maybe in a week with all the other wine blogs I am on. champagne.gif

Disclaimer: I don’t work or get free wine from them, yet!
Under $30 with free shipping.

2012 La Rioja Alta Rioja Viña Ardanza Reserva - Spain, La Rioja, La Rioja Alta, Rioja (12/29/2021)
Day 1: These wine remind me why I do the 3 day wine review thing. Previous poster did 4 hour decant and agree needs it. This on the pop and pour was a dill/wood overload so yes don’t rate it yet. Two hours in the glass getting wood, mild dill, raspberries, minerals, earth and dark chocolate. Excellent wine and probably better than the last time I sampled it. 93 points
Day 2: Still tight and needs to open up. After an hour in the glass featuring wood, dill, exotic spices, raspberries, minerals and dark chocolate. If you don’t like Oak avoid this wine. For me excellent offering. 93 points
Day 3: This is at its best. Lost some of the dill and wood which was heavy at times but still added to the wine. Raspberries, underbrush, dark chocolate, tobacco, minerals, mild dill and wood. Complex wine and one of the better under $30 wines I have sampled this year. 93+ points
Recommendation: No doubt this wine will improve with some age. Really good now and needs a 4 plus hour decant if you are drinking it on day 1. (93 points)

2016 Bodegas Muga Rioja Selección Especial - Spain, La Rioja, La Rioja Alta, Rioja (1/6/2022)
Day 1: Very elegant for a 16 on the pop and pour. Raspberries, blue fruits, minerals, spice, dust and floral notes. Smooth finish. This is drinkable right now. Excellent value. 92 points
Day 2: Even better on day 2. Blueberries, dust, spice, leather, cherry, minerals, floral and dark chocolate. Mild wood on the finish but this is amazing how good this is young. 94 points
Day 3: Still good but no where near day 2 quality.
Recommendation: Drink these over the next 5 to 7 years. Day 1 decant a few hours and enjoy. (94 points)

This is not a free shipping item but for $3.00 a bottle shipping get six of these and six of the Muga Reserva’s. Best pricing in the county on both.

Still don’t work for them but this wine is more impressive than last few vintages of Felsina and less money. Didn’t even make it to day 3.

2016 Cafaggio Chianti Classico Villa Cafaggio Riserva - Italy, Tuscany, Chianti, Chianti Classico DOCG (2/13/2022)
Day 2: Good on day 1 but wanted to see this evolve a bit more and is it good for the money. Christmas spice, funk, minerals, red currants, iron and minerals. Nice rustic edge and medium finish. Good acidity. This is far better than recent vintages of Felsina Chianti’s I have sampled and less money. (Composite Cork) (92 points)

These guys are great. I love Tensley’s wines and had a bottle that seemed mild heat damage of the 2020 Colson Vineyards. Reached out to them and credit back to my card.

Very few have that service and WTSO would be in that sentence.

Wow Andy. You must think I work for them too. Let me introduce you to simple math. If I post a wine review and one person responds and then I respond back that would be 66.6%. That would be more than 63%!

Why do you feel the need to “introduce me to simple math” with a nonsensical example if I clearly demonstrated my ability to do “simple math” in my previous post?

Who are you again? Why would you even post your rude comment on a place that offers free shipping and great customer service? Usually the person who posts something is the most active in a thread.

Had a bottle that was off and they refunded. Don’t see that often with online retailers.

Andy here are two more amazing wines they offer free shipping on:

2015 La Rioja Alta Rioja Viña Ardanza Reserva - Spain, La Rioja, La Rioja Alta, Rioja (4/1/2022)
Day 1: Classic Ardanza. One of not the most consistent wine vintage to vintage. This is amazing on a pop and pour. Always swirl though. Perfume, roasted meat, oak, stone, spice and floral notes. Flavorful and medium plus finish. I will be buying more of this in an instant. Outstanding value for under $30. 93 points $29.95

2018 Beckmen Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon - USA, California, Central Coast, Santa Ynez Valley (3/31/2022)
Day 1: One of the darkest purple wines I have seen in a long time. This is excellent. Blueberries, dark cherries, pepper, spice and graphite. Certainly California Cab to a T but really good finish and no flaws. Outstanding value for under $30. 93 points
Day 2: Wonderful fruit right out of gate featuring blueberries, Bing cherry and plum. Pepper, spice, dark chocolate and graphite. Medium plus finish. Subtle smoke note on the wine. 93 points
Recommendation: This is not going to make it to day 3 and will be buying more. (93 points) $24.95
