Vinsent was new to mew as well. The order was placed by a friend who knew about it. It appears to be gray market as they state delivery direct from the house. That’s all I know until lI use them which I may do soon.

Had the 2011 CdC last week at Taittinger. Nice wine, but still don’t get it why they decided to declare this vintage for CdC. There is certainly the CdC signature, but intensity is not up to the levels I would expect and hoped for. Maybe too early to drink, who knows, but I spent my money on another six pack 2008 and will wait for 2012 to come out.

I am assuming that is where I am going to end up on this. The main reason I bought this bottle is because I have tried most Comtes on release since '95 so I figured it would be nice to keep the knowledge base going. I am going in with low expectations so maybe I will be surprised.

Not at (or anywhere near) these prices when ‘08 is still available and ‘12 inevitably coming.
I won’t be surprised if a lot of people feel about the 2011 Comtes the way they feel about the 2010 Dom Perignon.

Well unfortunately my Vinsent story is not so good.
Ordered a case in October. Hasn’t heard anything, so reached out for an ETA in December… no response. Tried again, no response.
Finally followed up again in early Feb, and they responded! Great! But they said I should have gotten my wine and need to look into it. Uh oh.
Turns it they don’t have it. Offered 2007 Comtes rose instead (or a refund). Sigh. Hope others who got orders in had better experiences.
I imagine a lot of people are going to find the 08 hard to buy and suppliers may be unable to get it. WSP low up to 250 now. I am happy I managed to get more cases before the price went over 200. It’s interesting because some places that usually get a lot of recent releases (Empirewine) never restocked the 08 after I cleaned out what they had. Obviously we all should have bought more from WHWC.
I’m glad at least some people got their wine from Vinsent.
btw 06 was great a couple weeks ago still.
I was getting ready to reach out to them regarding my October order. Not surprised of the response you received, although I might take the rose, I heard it is drinking great right now.
