Our goal is singular in approach, so basic, so simple you’re going to nod your head and say, ‘yes’ to yourself, maybe twice. Our goal is purposeful and somewhat singular but tangible and welcoming. Our goal is happiness.
Remember back when you first brought that glass of wine to you lips? I am speaking of that glass than turned the switch upward and made you realize you wanted to check out this ‘stuff’ a bit more? That is the feeling we here at ‘TPoH’ wants you to get back again and maintain.
If you think back to that moment would you ever in your widest imagination think there would be others on places like this who would pooh-pooh your tastes ever chance they had? In this day of information we are bombarded with memes that would compartmentalize us and create false walls? I didn’t.
Welcome to The Pursuit of Happiness, and yes, it’s a group but one you will feel happy to be part of. As a member you will turn that corner and make the singular aim of this wine thing joy. You will be asked not to participate negatively in conversations both live and digital whereas the outcome is meant to demean and belittle.
We start at zero; it does not matter what your taste preference is, if you like old world or new, fruit or funk, balance or heavy handedness, neutral oak or 300% new American oak, we welcome you. Sign up here and smile. Life is good. This thing called wine enjoyment should be just that, where you get that enjoyment is up to you; how you derive pleasure is all your own choosing. Run with it!
Simple rules:
- You will show no disrespect to other wine-lovers based on their taste preferences. What they drive and how they dress is not part of our structure, so have at it.
- You will participate here and elsewhere knowing that if you post a tasting note within the forum and someone who is not TPoH adds a negative comment, you ignore it, we as a group will have your back; our Sicilian chapter is working on some punishment for such an atrocity right now.
- You will not concurrently be part of any outside group Groucho wants to be a part of. The ‘so-called’ AFWE, FWE and the like mean nothing to you and have zero bearing on your Happiness. Show no disagreements, just let them be.
