The most underrated Napa wines, according to sommeliers

You might be right! I realized my take is based on 15 yrs ago & I don’t have any recent experience with them.

Very amusing that pretty much all the Napa wines I buy are on this list :joy: throw Roy Piper, DiCostanzo, and Bedrock Oakville Farmhouse on there and we’re set. Corison deserves that top spot on here too. Her ‘99 Kronos CS remains one of the best bottles of wine I’ve ever had.

I’m wondering the same thing. The explanation for Lokoya sounds like it’s rare to find on a list but I wouldnt guess it’s underrated. I thought Mt. Brave was a a large production wine. I’ve heard plenty of good things about Corison, hoping to make a visit in the next couple months.

And Lokoya is $1000+ bottle on a wine list at minimum.

The Bedrock Sky Zinfandel is for me one of the best Zins I’ve ever had. And one of the best wines period from Napa I’ve had.

Zin is so underrated.

I’m a big fan of Biale Zins., including Black Chicken.

What, no mention of Napa Valley Petite Sirah or Semillon? Both can be really good.

Mine too! I am not a member, but order from them every year.

One of my underrated/unknown is Rivers Marie. TRB is known for his big hits, but they make some really nice, elegant wine at their home winery. I have two of their cabs that I’m trying to buy up off the secondary which can stand up to the best Napa has to offer for half the price. I’ll tell you what they are after I buy them all.
