Given all the meat eaters here, does anyone ever order these? I’ve ordered everything from lobel’s and have had all of flannery’s cuts and am always satisfied. That said, pound for pound (and ignoring cost), I am rarely ever as satisfied with a big prime steak than I am with a medium rare burger from lobel’s. They are not cheap at about $10 per, once shipping is factored in, but I can’t get enough of them. Cooked on a gas grill, a weber kettle, a big green egg, a cast iron pan…these things never disappoint. Any other lobel’s burger devotees out there??
I have bought a bunch (read: A WHOLE SHITLOAD) of beef online, yet I have never gotten any ground beef or pre-fabricated burgers from any purveyor. I have been tempted a couple of times to try the Heartbrand, but just can’t pull the trigger on high dollar ground beef.
Bill, I too was once a skeptic, but if you do like burgers, these are not to be missed. They are essentially 8 ounce prime meatballs and not pre-formed hockey pucks. Definitely worth a flyer.
So, these are the Wyoming Burgers @ 2 for $14.98?
Maybe it is time for a supreme burger taste off in Texas.
That’s it. If you try them, let me know what you think.
Next time I’m on Madison Ave, I’m going to pick some up. Burgers? Who knew!
if you order online, you’ll get good but not great burgers from Lobel’s. If you call the store and can talk w/Evan, he can hook you up with what I call the “magic hamburgers,” and they’re the best I’ve ever had. I don’t know why they’re different from the online ones, but they are.
