T-Bone is going down to Austin in a couple of weeks to be involved in a “Sideways” themed wine dinner that Thomas Hayden Church will be involved with. Appears as though the movie is still helping the wine industry out in many ways.
Amazing, indeed - I don’t really see the point in the story. It was remarkably random, skipping from ‘Sideways still attracts people out here’ to ‘how are you cutting back because of the recession’, and then showing clips from the movie (without credits, btw).
Lame, LA Times.
Helps some, but not others. You practically can’t give away Merlot any more.
I think that in honor of the movie, the number of wines to be tasted and considering our site, we should all drink out of spitters at Beserkerfest II unstead of wine glasses.

Oh yes you can! I’ll send you my address. We’re about to hit stew season. ![]()
I buy lots of merlot…very well disguised in Pavie bottles.
Ironically we have sold more Merlot in the last year or so then the previous 5 years combined. I hear people say they don’t have to let it age the same way as a cab, it’s more drinker friendly now.
That would even be true for Tex who drinks his Perse Merlots 15 years too soon.

A little off-topic, but I was once at IMDB and clicked on the profile for his, ah, common-law wife.
Dude is insane.
Plus you gotta give kudoos to anyone who is willing to risk throwing away the remainder of his career just for a cameo appearance in Idiocracy.
And Broken Trail is one whale of a good movie.
