I remember flipping out when I realized that I owned 10 cases of 1990 German riesling.
This was in 1992 or so. I bought a few more. But not enough.

Looks like we actually did see a big markup this year. I didn’t notice honestly.
If by steal you mean you are getting robbed. I paid $26.50 in the UK from a Weingut direct source. So somebody in the middle is jacking things up.

Prum Graacher Spatlese 2001.
Opened at home. Gorgeous wine, seemed almost Auslese sweet. Served with diver’s scallops, and after with a fine piece of aged Comte.The wine seemed to change with the food; with the simple flavors of the scallop, the fruit and minerality showed beautifully; with the umami in the cheese the wine took a back seat, with the acidity and fruit now coming to the fore. Wonderful showing; could do with a little more aging.
