We use a CoolBot / AC for our garage winery and it works great. Previously with a smaller AC with a Johnson controller the AC would freeze up. Never happens with the CoolBot.
Depending on needs the temp is set between 48-56F. The room is well insulated like your’s, and the added electricity cost has been insignificant.
Racks installed! Available wine loaded! (24 more cases waiting at the offsite…) Light system super easy to install and works really well to illuminate the cellar. I will also install a small sweep under the door to make sure there is no air leakage, but the door closes tight - no light is visible if I get inside and turn off the lights.

I also need to install a wireless tag system to track temp. It seems like the fan kicks on for just short intervals right now - if our house is quiet, and I’m paying attention, I can hear the cooler run in the garage. But most times I notice it’s on for 20 seconds and then turns off, which means the temp is holding.
