The 2006 Joseph Drouhin ‘Marquis de Laguiche’ Montrachet is one full on, exotic, saucy, Monty. Very complex and open knit aromas of honeysuckle, lime brulee, aniseed, spearmint and custard apple. It literally drips with sweet white peach in the mouth and there’s a smoky edge to the fruit. It is rich, dense and unctuous, with relatively low acid and its not until the last few sips that you are struck by a little mineral.
