The Demise of Jerry Mead's New World Intl Wine Competition

I was trying to check on results from several California wine competitions and went to the web site for Jerry Mead’s New World International Wine Competition. There is a notice posted there that the competition “is in the hands of the attorneys and is being dissolved.”

What happened? Anybody know any details they can share?

Curmy died, no one with his juice / balls to keep it together for the long term?

He died a number of years ago and it kept going in his name.

I know, we were quite good buddies joined by our mutual love of R&B and cheerleaders.

But, you can only keep it up for so long before people start to ask “Who’s Jerry Mead?”.
