Sounds wonderful
Which would you drink first between a 2005 Montelena Estate and a 2015 Macdonald (currently decanting)? Or skip the Montelena and go with a CamX 2023 as the Montelena would be eclipsed?
Definitely the CamX. @David_Baum
Dont you mean Cam Xeiomi as he disclosed he’s blending random components from random producers to make something that tastes good. In Cam We Trust ![]()
I usually lean towards domestic wines for Thanksgiving, but rules are meant to be broken. No pinot this year ![]()
Great line up. Wonder how that Aubert will be that old? Always drink em between 7-10 years here
I’ll let you know
Nice I sold some of that cirq on Winebid a few years ago
My extended family likes wine, but aren’t geeky about it. 2019 Sandar & Hem Chardonnay, Santa Cruz Mtns. and 2014 Ladd Cellars Pinot Noir, Russian River Valley. Just 5 adults.
My son-in-law makes a killer Old Fashioned. I’ve watched him and I believe the extra touch is to add a tiny splash of bubbly water. He told me he learned that from a bartender friend. It has the same effect as adding a bit of water to cask-strength whisk(e)y. No doubt I’ll have a couple of those.
I’m about to send some stuff off myself.
Going with 2023 Hundred Suns Willamette Valley Gamay Noir. Tasted and purchased at a K&L event in SF and good wine, good people. Hoping they (@grant_coulter ) return to Berserker Day in 2026.
Heading over to the kids!
That’s the Goodfellow, in the glass. ![]()
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
Edit to add:
Not pictured - a bottle of 2022 Chateau de Fosse-Seche Eolithe Saumur Rouge
Haven’t broken into the 2002 Breton Picasses yet. It’s been a good couple of days.
Lovely wine. Has put on some weight and color. Lively aroma, citrus with a touch of marshmallow on the palate. Focused finish. Not sure it’s going to get much better
